2015 Bobby Dodd National Lineman of the Year

Rashan Gary, Paramus Catholic (Paramus, New Jersey). DT 6’5″ 290 lbs.

Rashan is the consensus number one high school player in the nation. Across every recruiting service – news outlet – and website – Gary is the class of 2016’s top dog. The defensive tackle from Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey has been called a War Daddy and is a highly bankable football player.

What makes Gary such an intriguing football player is his combination of size, strength, speed, quickness – and his hustle. He can be a game changer for any defense and will wreak havoc on opposing offenses. Another more important factor in his evaluation is what may be overshadowed by his obvious physical gifts and that is his commitment to the classroom, his leadership, and work ethic.

As a student at Paramus Catholic, Gary is a First Honors Student, awarded for a 90 overall average with no grade below 85. Paramus Catholic plays a national High School Football schedule – playing local teams and teams from Florida to Maryland to Washington DC. It is no coincidence that his recruitment has been nationwide as well.

Wherever Rashan decides to go to school, that school will get a good football player and more importantly an outstanding young man.
